Wednesday, November 10

They will become one flock, one shepherd.—John 10:16.

Not all who have the hope of living in heaven are part of “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45-47) Just as in the first century, Jehovah and Jesus today are using a few brothers to feed, or teach, many. Only a few anointed Christians in the first century were used to write the Christian Greek Scriptures. Today, only a few anointed Christians have the responsibility to give God’s people “food at the proper time.” Jehovah has decided to give everlasting life on earth to the vast majority of his people and life in heaven to those few who will rule with Jesus. Jehovah rewards all his servants—the “Jew” as well as the “ten men”—and he requires them to obey the same laws and remain faithful. (Zech. 8:23) All must stay humble. All must serve him together and be united. And all must work to keep the peace in the congregation. As we get closer to the end, let us all keep serving Jehovah and following Christ as “one flock.” w20.01 31 ¶15-16

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

We just had our review of the RC in our local needs last night. The speaker mentioned that we are now able to watch the RC videos anytime we want. Its so good to be able to review the videos and remind ourselves of the spiritual gems learned at the RC.

It was also announced last night that next years RC will be on JW Broadcast like the past 2 years. I like being able to watch the RC in small portions each week instead of having to sit for 3 whole days at the physical RC.

Like somebody I know, he or she can watch it barefooted while eating chocolate too. The name will not be mention to protect the innocent. To what, I do not know.

As one flock , we all support the faithful slave in many ways. Sometimes is by our resources and other times by our obedience to the information they provide. By remaining humble and not wanting to usurp anyone's place we help keep the peace.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah

That word picture of "one flock, one shepherd" sure is a different situation than the world around us. As we ebb ever closer to the closing days of this world it continues to grow more divided. We must work hard to resist this type of attitude. The comment says: "All" must stay humble, work together, and keep peace. This clearly sets us apart as God's true people.
